1. Overview
IntroDrop ("we", "us", "IntroDrop") provides a secure system of record for professional introductions. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using IntroDrop, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
- Account information: name, email address, and authentication identifiers (e.g. Google account ID when you sign in with Google).
- Forwarded email content: when you forward an introduction or related correspondence to your IntroDrop forwarding address, we receive and store the email — including sender, recipient, subject, body, and attachments — so we can parse and track the introduction.
- Contact metadata: names, email addresses, and organizations of people referenced in your forwarded messages or that you add manually.
- Usage data: log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps) used to operate and secure the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the IntroDrop service.
- Parse forwarded emails to extract introductions, parties, and next steps using automated and AI-assisted processing.
- Generate reminders, weekly briefs, and follow-up nudges.
- Authenticate you and protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats.
- Communicate with you about your account and the service.
4. AI processing
We use third-party large language model providers to parse and summarize the content you forward to IntroDrop. We do not allow these providers to train their models on your data. Content is transmitted only as needed to fulfill your requests.
5. Sharing & third-party services
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run IntroDrop, including:
- Cloud hosting and database infrastructure providers.
- Inbound email processing providers.
- Authentication providers (e.g. Google Sign-In).
- AI model providers used to parse forwarded content.
These providers are bound by contracts that limit how they may use your data. We may also disclose data when required by law.
6. Data retention & deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time, after which we will delete or de-identify your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@introdrop.ai.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit, encryption at rest, access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
9. Cookies & local storage
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. You can clear these from your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.
10. Children's privacy
IntroDrop is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice and update the "Last updated" date above.
